The Photography curriculum at Clayton Hall Academy is designed to offer exciting and stimulating opportunities for our pupils to create, design and explore in an immersive and rapidly developing subject. The teaching of photography skills, concepts and critical thinking is central to the curriculum intent. This ensures that all pupils gain the best opportunity to thrive. Self- regulated learning is taught as part of the course, meaning that students are able to plan, direct and negotiate with confidence preparing them well for post- 16 courses, University and employment. Within the course students will be exposed to a multitude of photographers, crafts people, designers and masters to ensure that they have a wide knowledge base and are able to respond creatively to historical and contemporary art outside of the local area.
